Clinical experience

My clinical practice spans the full spectrum of emergency medicine (adults and children) and urgent care. • Time-critical conditions: early recognition and diagnosis
• Critical illness: recognition, management, resuscitation, and cardiac arrest

Medicolegal experience

I have provided independent expert opinion across a range of settings, including preliminary case assessments, breach of duty and causation reports in clinical negligence claims, coronial proceedings (including oral evidence), external clinical investigations, and cases considered under the NHS Redress (Wales) arrangements.I hold a qualifying law degree with First Class Honours and have completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Civil Expert Witness Certificate. I previously taught medical law at University College London and was a member of the Clinical Advisory Group that informed recent NHS Resolution reports on “High value and fatality related claims” and “Missed fractures”. My work on the legal status of clinical guidelines was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association Robert Jones Medal and Association Prize.
